OPENING RECEPTION: March 28, 6–8pm

Gallery Hours: Fri/Sat Noon to 6, and by appointment

PHOTO presents Vintage Esoterica, an exhibition of 35 photographs, dating from the early 20th century up until the 1990’s, from the extensive collection of Louis Klaitman.  This is a rare opportunity to view the work of numerous internationally acclaimed and influential photographers, here in Oakland.  Featuring work by: Henri Cartier-Bresson, Eve Arnold, Ruth Bernhard, Horst P. Horst, Ralph Eugene Meatyard, Annie Liebovitz, and William Wegman, among many others.  The selected work, mainly gelatin silver prints, embodies excellence within the medium of photography over the past 100 years.

Louis Klaitman specializes in vintage and contemporary photographs, and has been active in the photographic art community for over 25 years. Originally a collector, his collecting interest evolved into selling and researching photographs for private clients, acquiring inventory directly from photographers, collectors, estates and through auction houses worldwide.
